        艾优失笑,侧头看了他一眼:“Oh,andgrowingupinasmalltownnearVegasissupposedtomakeyoumore…what?Wild?”

        Leo夸张地摊手:“Well,atleastitmakesmemorepreparedforlife.Imean,whereIefrom,youlearhingsbythetimeyou’reten—howtodealwithdrunks,howtolosemoao,andhowtopretendyoudon’tseeillegalstuffhappening.”

        艾优忍不住笑出声:“Right.AndwhereIgrewup,youlearnhowtoshovelsnow,hoologizeunnecessarily,andhowtosurvivewithoutsunlightforsixmonths.”

        Leo一脸同情地摇头:“Ah,thetrueMidwesterntragedy—endlesswintersandunshakablepoliteness.”

        艾优点头,装模作样地叹了口气:“Exactly.Youknow,whenyoubumpintosomeoneiwinCities,it’saletitiontoseeologizefirst.‘Oh,I’msorry!’‘No,I’msorry!’‘No,really,Iinsist,I’msorrier!’”

        Leo大笑,举起咖啡杯冲她示意:“That’stragimytown,ifyoubumpintosomeoheyeitherignoreyouortrytofightyou.”
